“I work in the port, I understand nothing about courts, and when Vantor Trade blocked withdrawals I felt lost. The lawyers proposed joining the class action in Vienna. The settlement did return the assets, but with a hefty cut: out of my 89,300 euros I saw about 56,000 again. That is less than I hoped for when I started, and the litigation dragged on for an eternity. Even so, I thank the team: they took the matter to the end and prised that money out of people who had no intention of letting go.”
Crypto lender: withdrawal blocked“Dad kept his savings at BitGrail right up to the last day, and it was his entire pension. When it collapsed, you could not breathe in the house. The lawyers claimed the segregated assets and some twenty thousand euros came out of them; the insolvency estate is still being divided, a few pennies will follow later. You saved him from a heart attack, and at his age that is no small thing. I am typing from his dictation, he will not go near the internet.”
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assets“The class action in Dublin against Lendora ended in a settlement. Full return of my 64624 euros. The firm worked strictly by the contract.”
Crypto lender: withdrawal blocked“I was convinced there was a fund for crypto too, like for bank accounts. There is not. I found out at the second meeting, not the first, and in between I spent two weeks hoping for nothing. Otherwise they really did get the segregated part out of Kerlon Pay, €9,418.”
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assets“Licence revocation of a Cypriot CFD broker. The ICF fund paid out the maximum possible amount. Carrara handled the claim from start to finish. There were no delays on my side.”
CFD: Cypriot ICF fund“Insolvency of the exchange, and my separately held assets didn’t fall into the insolvency estate. Carrara e Associati tracked the whole process. The money came back in full. Not a word too many.”
Recovery of investment funds“The ICF paid in euros what I had paid in dollars, at the rate on the date of the decision, not on the date I paid it. That is €900 of difference. Nobody told me and I do not think it was hidden: it simply had not occurred to anyone, me first of all.”
CFD: Cypriot ICF fund“I recommend this firm, and I will say why. At My Forex Funds the payouts had stopped completely after the CFTC regulator's lawsuit, and my account was frozen: it looked like a bricked-up door. They prepared the claim and filed it the moment the partial resumption of payouts opened up. 15428 euros came through. Updates on time, no drama. Not full marks purely for the weekends: in the chat they answered at a very leisurely pace.”
Prop-trading firm: frozen payouts“I ran into fraud at the 24Hr Trading Academy and lost a significant sum. The lawyers at Carrara e Associati took on the case when the FCA issued a decision to fine the firm. They managed to recover £13,815. That's less than my full losses, since part of the transactions didn't fall under the regulator's compensation criteria, but it's a result. The work was done professionally, without empty promises. I thought the bill was steep until I saw how many hours had gone into it. The everyday problems from losing the money have eased a bit, I was at least able to finish repairing the car.”
